About the Role
The Electrician Helper is an entry-level position that supports Industrial Electricians on local industrial construction projects. This role assists with the installation of electrical systems, conduit, raceway, and cable tray while learning proper electrical construction practices in compliance with OSHA safety standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Electrician Helper works under the direct supervision of experienced electricians and foremen, follows all job-site safety procedures, and contributes to safe, organized, and efficient project execution. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the electrical trade and develop hands-on skills in an industrial construction environment.
Requirements
No prior electrical experience required (construction experience a plus)
Willingness to learn industrial electrical construction practices and safety standards
Ability to follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans
Ability to work under the direction of licensed electricians and supervisors
Willingness to learn how to read basic electrical drawings and schematics
Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools
Willingness to learn NEC requirements and proper installation methods
Understanding of or willingness to learn lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in industrial environments
Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and maintain a professional attitude
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and long-term skill development
